MR. ANDRE NICDAO, MA, M Div.,M.Ed.

Mr. Andre Nicdao received his Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Philosophy from St. John's Seminary College in Camarillo. He also attained his masters in spiritual theology and divinity at St. John's Seminary. During his collegiate years, Andre was involved in a Speech Forensics Tournament and won 1st Place in a Duo Interpretation Contest at California State University San Bernardino. Included in this tournament were renowned universities such as UC Berkeley, USC, and  Biola University. He was also involved in various community outreaches, which included volunteering at convalescent and state hospitals, California Youth Authority Detention Camp, and teaching catechism at Point Mugu Naval Base in Oxnard, CA. Furthermore, Andre was the academic representative for the college on his junior year and president of the student senate as a third year graduate student. Lastly, Andre was in a Spanish language immersion program in Aguascalientes, Mexico in the summer of 2001.

Currently, Andre teaches Theology 9  and is a STEP Coordinator at St. PiusX-St. Matthias Academy. Prior to teaching English, he was a principal for a year at Santa Rosa Bishop Alemany School for the 2014-15 schoolyear. In addition, he was also a Curriculum and Instruction administrator at his high school alma mater, Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary High School  from the 2012-14 schoolyear. While an administrator, he also taught Honors Survey of Literature (sophomores) and Honors American Literature (juniors) courses. During the 2009-10  school year,  Andre completed his masters in education with an emphasis on English and a California Clear Teaching Credential at Loyola Marymount University.  In the 2005-06 schoolyear, he served as one of the Cross Country coaches. He also served as the Senior Class Moderator from the 2005-2009 schoolyear.

Besides working as a secondary school educator, Andre enjoys running, swimming, and working out in the local YMCA or at home with a P90X3 Workout program. He has ran fourteen marathons in Los Angeles and San Diego respectively. Lastly, Andre is happily married to his high school sweetheart, Jocelyn Eliseo, and has three beautiful daughters, Andrea Ann Joy, Anastasia Josephine, and Aurora Jayne.
